DAVIDSON, N.C. – Presbyterian men's golf sophomore
Jack Wofford finished second with a three-round score of 210 (-6) at the River Run Collegiate at the River Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C.
The Blue Hose finished seventh in the 17-team field with a three-round score of 880 (+16). The host team Davidson finished first with a score of 867 (+3). East Carolina, Dayton, and Radford rounded out the top four. Appalachian State and George Mason finished tied for fifth. Presbyterian finished ahead of Big South teams Gardner-Webb (+23) and Winthrop (+45).
Howard's Gregory Odom Jr. finished in first place two strokes in front of Wofford at -8. Presbyterian junior
Lleyton Renner finished in the top 20 in a tie for 15
th place.
Notables
- Presbyterian tallied a third-round score of 294.
- Wofford's third round included three birdies and 13 pars to shoot 71 (-1).
- Renner recorded 12 pars in the third round for a score of 79. Renner posted a three-round score of 218.
- Senior Thomas Hollingsworth collected 17 pars in his final round. He finished the tournament tied for 43rd with a three-round score of 223.
- Senior Jimmy McCollum collected four birdies and 11 pars in his final round. McCollum finished tied for 77th with a three-round score of 233.
- Junior Columb Knight had an eagle on the par 4 416-yard hole number three. He added one birdie and five pars to his third round. Knight finished the tournament tied for 95th with a three-round score of 243.
