Lleyton Renner finished tied for tenth place, while the Blue Hose finished in ninth place with a three-round score of 904 (+40) at the Big South Championship at The Patriot Golf Course at Grand Harbor.
Radford, Longwood, Winthrop, and Charleston Southern are the four teams that advanced to Wednesday's match play for the Big South Championship. Radford's Bryce Corbett captured the Big South individual championship with a three-round score of 212 (-4). Renner finished with a three-round score of 219 (+3) to pace the Blue Hose.
Notables
- Renner recorded four birdies and 11 pars on his final round of 71 (-1).
- Nat Simkins finished 29th with a three-round score of 229 (+13). He eagled his final hole of collegiate golf when he posted a three on the par 5 549-yard 18th hole. In his final round, Simkins posted a 76 with one eagle, three birdies, and eight pars.
- Columb Knight finished tied for 35th place with a three-round score of 232 (+16). In his final round, he recorded two birdies including a birdie on the 18th hole, and 11 pars on his way to a score of 77. Â
- Thomas Hollingsworth finished 38th with a three-round score of 236 (+20). In his final round, he birdied the 18th hole while recording eight pars on his way to a score of 81.
- Jack Wofford saw his first action of the Big South Championship. He posted a score of even par 72 on his round. He tallied three birdies including a birdie on the 18th hole while collecting 12 pars on his round.
