CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After recording his sixth shutout of the season, Presbyterian Blue Hose men's soccer senior goalkeeper Tim Baerwalde was named
Big South Defensive Player of the Week.
Baerwalde is the seventh different Blue Hose to earn Big South Defensive Player of the Week accolades in school history. Baerwalde is the second Presbyterian player to claim a Big South weekly award this season as
Aloni Elfu was the Big South Freshman of the Week on September 8.

PLAY THIS WEEK
Baerwalde only allowed one goal with eight saves in 180 minutes of action last week against Queens and UNC Asheville. In Presbyterian's 0-0 tie at Big South Conference foe UNC Asheville this past Saturday, Baerwalde recorded four saves while collecting his sixth shutout of the season.
THIS SEASON
The Frankfurt, Germany native has recorded six shutouts with 56 saves this year. Baerwalde's six shutouts is tied for the second most in a single-season in Presbyterian's Division I era.
