Cindy Langley

Cindy Langley is in her first season as head cheerleading coach at Presbyterian College.

Langley is currently a Project Lead the Way and GreenSTEM instructor at the Anderson District I & II Career and Technology Center, where she has served since 2007.  She is also an advisor with the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team and has led them to the World Championship competition every year from 2008 to this past year.

An educator for most of her professional career, Langley started out as a mathematics instructor at the Greenville Sylvan Learning Center and Hughes Academy, before beginning her work with Project Lead the Way at Greenville High School in 2000.  At Greenville High she was also involved with the FIRST robotics team, the Spirit Committee and the competitive cheer program, of which she became head coach in 2001.

Langley served as head coach at Greenville High from 2001 - 20006, and a consultant/coach from 2007-2010.  During her tenure the team won nine regional championships, advanced to the state championships eight times, and won three of them.  Greenville High was also a five-time Upper State Champion.

Langley was named Region Coach-of-the-Year four times at Greenville High, including after just her first year of coaching in 2001.  She was also nominated that year for State Cheerleading Coach-of-the-Year.

From 2008-2010, Langley served as consultant/coach at Palmetto High School.  While there the team was Region Champion and State Championship runners-up all three years.  In 2010, Palmetto High earned Upper State Championship honors as well.

Langley earned her bachelor’s degree in Education and Mechanical Engineering from Anderson, and her master’s degree in Education from Clemson.
