Gallegos Places Seventh At Senior Nationals

Fort Worth, Tex. – Jaslynn Gallegos had a seventh place finish to highlight a trio at the 2019 Senior Nationals in Fort Worth, Texas this weekend. Morgan Norris and Bernardino Gomez also competed in the tournament.

NOTABLES
- Gallegos picked up a 10-0 victory in her opening match of the weekend before losing 2-0 in a by fall. She was able to bounce back with a another 10-0 victory.
- She lost to Felicity Taylor in a 14-8 by points defeat on Friday night before earning a seventh place finish with a win on Saturday morning over Nicole Nastri 11-4.
- Gomez got an early 8-4 win in his opening match before picking up the 9-0 shutout victory via fall to improve to 2-0 in the 60 KG bracket. He suffered a pair of falls defeats.
- Morgan Norris lost her opening match 4-0 by fall. Norris bounced back with a 4-0 falls victory before dropping a 7-0 decision to conclude her weekend at the nationals.
- All three wrestlers competed this weekend at the Nationals unattached.
- This is the first qualifier for wrestlers to make it into the Olympic Trials in April. Two more opportunities are out there for all wrestlers in February & March of 2020.
