Men's Wrestling Prepares For Conference Tri-Dual on Saturday

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team returns home on Saturday for a tri-dual beginning at 2 p.m. with Davidson and Gardner-Webb visiting the Templeton Center. PC and Gardner-Webb begin the day at 2 p.m. before Gardner-Webb faces Davidson at 3:30. The Blue Hose and Wildcats wrap up the day at 5 p.m.

About the Dual

The Blue Hose return to Clinton on Saturday for their lone home duals in the 2021 season against SoCon foes Gardner-Webb and Davidson.
PC will open the tri-dual on Saturday against the Runnin' Bulldogs at 2 p.m. before Gardner-Webb and Davidson will meet at 3:30 p.m. The tri-dual will wrap up with Presbyterian and Davidson at 5 p.m..
PC faced both teams in 2019 as the Wildcats earned a 36-8 win last January, while Gardner-Webb defeated the Blue Hose 27-18 last February. Both matches occurred inside the Templeton Center.

About the Runnin' Bulldogs

Gardner-Webb comes into Clinton on Saturday with a 2-7 record following the Runnin' Bulldogs earning a pair of wins in its last duals against Bellarmine and VMI.
RJ Mosley paces the Runnin' Bulldogs at the 165 pound weight class with a record of 5-2.

About the Wildcats

Davidson comes into Saturday's tri-dual with a 2-4 record after earning a split last weekend with a win against the Citadel after suffering a setback against Campbell earlier in the day.
Gavin Damasco (141), Kyle Gorant (133) and Finlay Holston (197) each lead Davidson with three victories on the 2020-21 season.

Schedule Additions

On Tuesday, the Blue Hose added a pair of duals to the schedule for next week. PC will travel to Emmanuel on Monday night for a 6 p.m. dual against the Lions.
Presbyterian on Wednesday February 10 will travel to VMI to make up a dual with the Keydets that was originally slated for January 16.

Last Time Out

The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team was defeated on Sunday afternoon in a pair of SoCon duals against Chattanooga by the count of 43-(-1) before dropping the match against the host Appalachian State by the score of 54-0 inside Varsity Gym in Boone, N.C…
The match against Chattanooga was the first all-time meeting between the two programs.
