Wrestling Gets Set For Busy Week Beginning Monday with DH

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's and women's wrestling teams begin a busy week starting on Monday night as both teams face off with Emmanuel College in a doubleheader with the women's dual at 5 p.m. followed by the men's dual at 6 p.m… The Blue Hose men's team is also slated on Wednesday night to face VMI in a make up SoCon dual against the Keydets.

About the Meets

On Monday night both wrestling teams will face off with Emmanuel College in back-to-back duals beginning with the women's team at 5 p.m.. The men's team will follow at 6 p.m.
The Presbyterian College men's team on Wednesday night will make the trek up to VMI for a make up dual against the Keydets in SoCon action beginning at 5 p.m..

Previewing the Lions Women's Team

The Emmanuel College women's team will set the mat for the first time since Jan. 24 in a tournament that they hosted. Emmanuel College is 2-2 on the season.
The last dual they contested was on Jan. 22 against Liberty University where they earned a shutout win over the Flames.

Previewing the Lions Men's Program

The Lions on the men's side enter winless in their 15 duals on the season with this being their first dual since Jan. 27 against Averett University.

Previewing the Keydets

VMI enters the match on Wednesday with a record of 4-5 following a win over the Citadel in their last dual by the count of 27-18.
The Keydets are led by Tyler Mousaw at 197 pounds with a record of 8-1 overall. Job Chishko wrestling at 149 pounds also sits at 8-1 on the campaign.

NWCA Rankings

In the latest NCWA Rankings the Blue Hose check in at No. 8 as a team in the ranks.
Individually the Blue Hose have four wrestlers ranked in the top eight of their individual weight class led by third at 116 for Jaslynn Gallegos and third at 143 for Morgan Norris.
Cassandra Lopez ranks sixth at 109 pounds and Samantha Miller ranks eighth in her weight class at 101.

Last Time Out

The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team dropped a pair of SoCon duals on Saturday at the hands of Gardner-Webb 38-6 & Davidson 39-9 on Saturday afternoon inside the Templeton Center. Bernardino Gomez earned victories in both duals for the Blue Hose.
Morgan Norris paced the Blue Hose on Saturday with a perfect 3-0 record in the Presbyterian College Round-Robin tournament at the Templeton Center. Jaslynn Gallegos also added three victories in the event to lead the Blue Hose against Ferrum and Limestone.
