CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Presbyterian College Director of Athletics Rob Acunto, who is entering his fourth year at Presbyterian, was appointed Chair of the Council of Big South Conference Athletics Directors, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

Acunto was appointed chair at the annual Big South Conference Spring Meetings which were held May 31-June 2 in Hilton Head, South Carolina.  

At the Spring Meetings, Charleston Southern University President Dr. Dondi E. Costin was appointed to the Big South Executive Committee as an At-Large member for the 2022-23 academic year.  USC Upstate Associate Athletics Director Sarah Gildersleeve was appointed Chair of the Council of Senior Woman Administrators, and Longwood Faculty Athletics Representative Tim Coffey was appointed Chair of the Council of Faculty Athletics Representatives.  Acunto, Gildersleeve, and Coffey will serve two-year terms from 2022-24.
