PC Cheer Hosts Nationals Sendoff Showcase This Weekend

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College cheer team invites all Blue Hose fans to Templeton Gymnasium this Saturday for a friends and family event dubbed the "Nationals Sendoff Showcase" at 11:30 a.m. The performance will be the final time that the PC cheer squad will perform in Clinton this season, serving as a prelude to next week's National Championship Prelims in Daytona Beach, Florida.

"The concept behind tomorrow's showcase is to grant the team a chance to perform in front of a lively home crowd and show off the hard work they've put into their routine behind the scenes for the past several months", remarked head coach Lu Steinfeldt, in the midst of her debut season at Presbyterian.

"Saturday will be a fantastic opportunity for family and friends to be able to show their support and watch the routine in person. Throughout the process of culture building this year, these ladies have shown to be some of the most dedicated and teachable athletes that I have ever worked with. The improvements and progress that they have shown throughout the entire year is incredible! It brings me joy as a coach, to see how much their skillsets, mindsets, and confidence has grown".

Preliminary round events in Daytona Beach will take place next Thursday, April 6, followed by Finals the next afternoon. "Our team wants to put on a show for all Blue Hose fans that are able to attend this Saturday, and above all else have fun with one last performance opportunity at home before competition next week".
