DAVIDSON, N.C. – Resuming its dual schedule where they'll remain in standard head-to-head meetings for the foreseeable future, the Presbyterian College men's wrestling team ventured to the Carolina border at Davidson College on Friday afternoon where they dropped a pair of neutral encounters versus Little Rock (50-6) and Cleveland State (31-11).
Held at the John Belk Arena in the Tar Heel State – the same venue where the Blue Hose will wrap up the 2024 regular season on February 23 – PC was unable to put an end to a four-match losing skid and instead saw that number increase by two.
The Trojans would be the first ones to lock horns with head coach
Mark Cody and co., winning at the multi-team event for the fourth time thanks to five pins and four more technical's.
Later in the day, a 96-second fall from sophomore lightweight
Trenton Dominguez gave Presby an early 6-0 edge over the Vikings, although CSU settled in to retrieve seven overall wins on their way to a 20-point final cushion.
Eli Holiday (157) and
Caleb Roe (184) added to PC's 11-point accumulation in the second bout of the Davidson proceedings, both having their hands raised in two-point decisions (13-11 and 8-6 respectively).
