PITTSBORO, N.C. – The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team was unable to pick up a victory on Saturday afternoon in a neutral quad-event hosted by Duke, dropping three matches in non-conference competition to Utah Valley, American, and the hosting Blue Devils.

Held at a nearby high school, the Blue Hose were defeated by the Wolverines 54-0, the Eagles 42-6, and Duke by a tally of 38-9.

After getting shut out by Utah Valley – a squad who had played only top-25 programs at this stage of the season – Presbyterian achieved their first individual win of the day from the hands of Morvens Saint Jean (285).

In the final bout of the dual against American, Saint Jean mustered his second pin of the young season over Emmanuel Ulrich in four minutes and five seconds.

Falling behind in the last meeting of the day versus Duke 27-0, head coach Mark Cody's crew received a late spark by Reed Douglass (174) and Caleb Roe (184).

That duo scored a 26-10 technical fall and a 15-4 major decision, although the deficit in the team tally was simply too large to overcome and the Blue Hose drop to 0-5 on the campaign.

PC will go two full months before their next dual, returning to the mats on January 24 where they'll welcome Air Force to Templeton Gymnasium.
