BOONE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College men's wrestling squad trotted out 12 competitors to the Mountaineer Invitational on Saturday afternoon, collecting two silver medals and a couple other 4
th-place nods.
After beginning the 2024-25 slate with a home dual versus Sacred Heart, the Blue Hose participated in their first – and only – tournament of the campaign and picked up seven individual victories.
Junior 174-pounder
Reed Douglass reached consecutive W's by fall and five-point decision to make it to the championship match in his class, ultimately taking 2
nd-place.
Elsewhere, heavyweight
Morvens Saint Jean grabbed a 7-3 triumph over ASU's Stephan Monchery to repeat Douglass' results of a silver finish.
Rey Ortiz (141) and
Joshua Roe (165) recorded one pin apiece to both manage a 4
th-place standing, wrapping up a tournament that involved 27 universities and eight Southern Conference institutions.
