CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team was defeated on Thursday afternoon by one of the most consistent programs in America – the Appalachian State Mountaineers – falling by a 54-0 final tally at the Christian Life Center right beside campus.
PC has been forced to battle through numerous injuries seemingly across the board, an issue that plagued a similar shutout to Gardner-Webb four days ago where an already-young roster was needed to bump up several weight classes.
Head coach
Mark Cody's club endured four losses by pin and three other technical falls to the reigning Southern Conference champions, a result that pushed App State to their fourth divisional victory as the # 7 ranked team in the NWCA Mid-Major poll.
The Mountaineers' victory dropped the Blue Hose to an 0-5 mark within a SoCon setting, primed for three more league encounters the rest of the way. That sequence will start with the Fighting Camels of Campbell, an opponent that will enter Templeton Gymnasium on Sunday as the 24
th-ranked team in the nation.

- Presbyterian will hold their final home contest in three days' time, battling the nationally-ranked Fighting Camels at 1:00 PM.
