CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team took part in their last Templeton Gymnasium dual on Sunday afternoon, locking horns with arguably their most dangerous Southern Conference opponent yet: the 24
th-ranked Campbell Fighting Camels. PC ended the day with a 55-0 defeat, falling to 3-13 on the campaign.
Going from last year's SoCon regular season champion (Appalachian State) to a foe that is well on their path to that same trophy in 2024, Presbyterian's last two matches have put them in the crosshairs of the league's most well-rounded squads back-to-back.
The injury bug bit the Blue Hose to a damaging degree in the midway portion of the conference slate, forcing a majority of the roster to bump up at least one weight class for head coach
Mark Cody's unit.
When the dust settled, Campbell's nationally-ranked lineup – clocking in at number six in the latest NWCA Mid Major poll – came away with four pins and three other victories by technical fall. It was the Fighting Camels' 12
th W overall to remain perfect in SoCon territory (6-0).
Sophomore
Ryan Luna achieved a three-point decision in his favor during an exhibition bout, the Californian's sixth personal win of the semester while navigating through injury.
Presbyterian will finish up the regular season with a pair of nearby conference opponents next week, traveling to The Citadel and Davidson in consecutive days before the SoCon Tournament rears its head on March 9.

UP NEXT
- Still in pursuit of their first win within a league setting – having defeated Sacred Heart, Truett McConnell, and Queens in non-conference play – the Blue Hose will head to Charleston to face The Citadel this Thursday at 6:00 PM.
- 24 hours after that, coach Cody's group will again hit the road to battle Davidson in the 2024 finale. The Bulldogs and Wildcats have reached six combined SoCon wins on the year, not to mention a 13-4 record from The Citadel that featured a 19-14 W over Gardner-Webb last Friday.
