CHARLESTON, S.C. – In the penultimate meeting of the 2023-24 campaign, the Presbyterian College men's wrestling team ventured to the other side of the state of South Carolina for a Thursday afternoon affair against The Citadel. PC was held scoreless in its attempt to grasp a crucial late-season SoCon win, instead falling by a 50-0 margin.
Now at 3-14, the Blue Hose ran into a Bulldog opponent that is in the midst of arguably its most accomplished year, evident by four technical falls as well as three major decisions and a couple of pins.
Head coach
Mark Cody's club has a chance to regroup from Thursday's setback in less than 24 hours when they'll go head-to-head with Davidson in the Tar Heel State, aiming for some late momentum as the Southern Conference Tournament inches nearer.
A win over the Wildcats tomorrow would denote the program's first league victory when playing the visiting role in the brief history of the program.

UP NEXT
- Friday's visit to Davidson won't be Presby's first time being in the John M. Belk Arena in 2024, taking on Little Rock and Cleveland State at the same venue back on January 12.
- The Blue Hose have never bested the Wildcats in four prior tries, last locking horns in December '22 where Davidson achieved a 26-7 result in their own gym.
- Following tomorrow's outing, the focus will turn to the SoCon Championships on March 9, held at Appalachian State with a chance for NCAA Nationals qualification at stake.
