RADFORD, Va. – The Presbyterian College softball team wrapped up the 2024 regular season on a rainy Saturday afternoon for a rubber match against the Radford Highlanders, unable to make it two in a row after obtaining a four-run victory the evening prior. Radford broke the ice in the bottom of the 2
nd by stealing home as another runner diverted attention at second base, later adding two insurance RBI's in the 4
th inning.
Sophomore
Peyton Duncan started the affair in the pitching spot, succeeded by
Kasey Wolfe and
Jenna Greene who retired two in the last stanza to end her PC career with 715 strikeouts (8
th in the history of the Big South).
PC has been mathematically eliminated from the four-team conference tournament, finishing up the campaign with an overall record of 15-36.
The Big South will release its annual layout of postseason all-league winners next week, starting the transition phase to the offseason.
