Presbyterian Played First Two Rounds at Elon Phoenix Invitational

BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose golf team finished the first two rounds of the Elon Phoenix Invitational on Monday.

Presbyterian is tied for eighth place with Old Dominion and Gardner-Webb after shooting a two-round score of 570 (+2) with rounds of 287 and 283. Freshman James Rhodes paced the Blue Hose, finishing the first two rounds in a tie for 25th place with rounds of 72 and 69 for a 1421 (-1).    

Notables
  • Rhodes shot an opening round 69 (-2) with three birdies and 14 pars on the round. His second round 72 (+1) had three birdies and 11 pars on his round.
  • Junior Spence Hagood is tied for 32nd place with a two-round score of 142 € with two rounds of 71. In his first round, he had three birdies and 12 pars. In the second round, he had five birdies and nine pars.
  • Sophomore Richard Anaclerio is also tied for 32nd place with a two-round score of  142 (E) with two rounds of 71. In both rounds, he eagled the Par 5 12th hole. In the first round, he had one eagle, two birdies, and nine pars. On the second round, he had one eagle, two birdies, and 11 pars.
  • Sophomore Gage Gaskins is tied for 43rd place with a two-round score of 145 (+3). In the first round, he posted a 72 with three birdies and 11 pars. In the second round, he had one birdie and 15 pars on the round.
  • Senior Austin Skoog posted a two-round score of 155 (+13) with rounds of 76 and 79. In the first round, he had one birdie and 11 pars. In the second round, he had one birdie and 12 pars.
