Abby Katz Named NCATA All-American

Abby Katz was named National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) All-American. Katz is the first student-athlete in the program's history to earn All-American honors.

This season, she claimed NCATA Specialist of the Week honors three times. On March 26, she was the NCATA Specialist of the Week. On April 2 and April 9, she garnered Honorable Mention NCATA Specialist of the Week honors. Specialist of the Week is for athletes who highly contribute to one event.

Katz, a top and tumbler, played a major role on Presbyterian's Pyramid team, which recorded three consecutive perfect 10s in the Open Pyramid heat.  She also set the school's all-time high score with a perfect 9.55 (with a start value of 9.55) in the Tumbling Event Open Pass in Presbyterian's win at Talladega on April 5.

The Columbia, South Carolina native competed in at least 12 heats and the Team Event in every meet while helping the Blue Hose collect a program record seven wins.
