PC Football Enters Top 25 in Stats Perform Poll for First Time Ever

CLINTON, S.C. – The only Division I program in the state of South Carolina to remain undefeated after four weeks, the Presbyterian College football team has achieved another milestone by being ranked at #25 in the newest poll by Stats Perform publications.

Announced on Monday morning, PC has now become a nationally-ranked team for the first time in the school's Division I history (2007 onward). Head coach Steve Englehart's crew is sitting at 4-0, Presbyterian's best start to a season since 1959.

PC has 123 points for the Week 5 Stats Perform poll, one behind Youngstown State for the #24 spot. The Stats Perform panel is comprised of 56 individuals who represent each conference at the FCS level.

#PULLTHEROPE

- Following a 76-3 dismantling of Bluefield on Saturday to move to 4-0, Presbyterian is now tied with Tennessee Tech and the Memphis Tigers for the longest active winning streak in all of Division I football (eight games).

- PC has won four consecutive contests at Bailey Memorial Stadium for the first time since 2011-12, scoring the third-highest number of points in a single game over their entire 113-year history.

- Coach Englehart's club has eclipsed 500 total yards in back-to-back meetings, captained by redshirt-sophomore quarterback Collin Hurst (1,186 passing yards, 14 total touchdowns over four games).

- Presbyterian is receiving 51 votes in the AFCA Coaches Poll (the other widely-recognized ranking system for FCS institutions), the first team outside the Top 25 in that particular list.

LOOKING AHEAD

- The Scotsmen will play eight consecutive Pioneer Football League games from now until the end of the regular season, completing a three-game homestand next Saturday versus the Morehead State Eagles.

- PC and Morehead have been involved in some heated encounters recently, with each of the last four meetings in that series decided by eight points or fewer.

- The Blue Hose defeated MSU the last time that they visited Clinton, a 31-27 result back in 2023. PC and Morehead became PFL mates in 2020 and have played each other every year since.
