The Presbyterian College men's and women's cross country teams are back on the course at the UNCW Beach Blast in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Saturday evening. The men's 5K starts at 6:30 p.m. and the women's 5K follows at 7 p.m. Both races are scheduled to take place at Veterans Park.

About the Meet
The UNCW Beach Blast will have the following teams joining the Blue Hose on Saturday evening: Barton, Louisburg, Mount Olive, North Carolina Central, Presbyterian, and Winston-Salem State.

Notables

• Both the men's and women's teams will run a 5K this Saturday. It will be the first 5K of the season for the women and the first and only 5K this season for the men. The men's program's Division I era record time in the 5K is 16:26.5, set by William Johnson in 2023. The women's record in the 5K is 18:42, set by Sally Hart in 2018.
• Jude Rutherford, Noah Kaufman, Sam Gearheart, David Harner, and Jacob Smith, and Jude Rutherford are expected to pace the Blue Hose men's team.
• Lillian Anderson, Isabel Whitman, and Katie Stevenson are expected to lead the Blue Hose women's team.

2025 Slate

• Saturday's meet will be the second of four meets that the Blue Hose will run in the state of North Carolina this season.
• Next, Presbyterian travels to Brevard, North Carolina, for the Brevard XC Classic on September 19.  
• PC concludes the regular season at the Royals Cross Country Challenge in Charlotte, North Carolina, on October 10.
• The Big South Conference Championship is in Farmville, Virginia, on October 31.
