DAVIDSON, N.C. – The last two non-conference duals are next up for the Presbyterian College men's wrestling team, searching for their first win of the winter at a neutral venue against the Brown Bears and the Lock Haven Bald Eagles on Friday.
PC will face the two inside Davidson's gymnasium, a Southern Conference school who they've already wrestled. Head coach
Mark Cody's group will dual Brown at 10:00 AM tomorrow, before finishing the two-parter at 2:30 with Lock Haven.
The Blue Hose were last seen in a losing effort versus SoCon powerhouse Appalachian State in Clinton, taking a 46-4 defeat to stand at 0-6 on the year.
Friday will be the second-ever meeting between PC and Brown, as Presby bested the Bears three seasons ago in Pennsylvania. On the flip side, they have never crossed paths with Lock Haven in a dual setting.

SCOUTING BROWN
- Brown remains the only team from the Ivy League that has ever locked up with the Blue Hose in the program's seven-year history. Under the direction of head coach Jordan Leen, the Bears have not dueled anyone since December 5.
- Instead, Brown has favored the tournament format throughout this season. They've entered into six separate brackets primarily around the northeast, participating in tourneys at Princeton, Franklin & Marshall, and Cornell.
- Brown and PC were both on hand at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga earlier this month, although tomorrow will be the Bears' first one-on-one match in a whopping 42 days.
- They've defeated Davidson and Long Island (both by double digits), with their lone loss coming to then-#6 Nebraska in Missouri.
SCOUTING LOCK HAVEN
- An NCAA Division II institution for every sport except wrestling, Lock Haven competes in the Mid-American Conference and has gone up against some stiff competition this calendar.
- Head coach Scott Moore's crew was ranked #9 in the NWCA's first mid-major Top-25 a little over a week ago, claiming wins against Long Island by 42, Clarion by 20, Binghamton by 18, and Princeton by 22.
- The Bald Eagles have also wrestled Big Ten members Wisconsin, Northwestern, and Indiana. They were last seen at the Franklin & Marshall tournament on January 9, where Ousmane Duncanson (165) earned second place.
- Lock Haven will dual North Dakota State and Brown tomorrow before turning their attention to the Blue Hose. They won 14 duals last season and sent three athletes to the second day of the National Championship bracket.
LAST TIME OUT
- PC couldn't overcome the most consistently-successful Southern Conference school last week inside Templeton Gymnasium, although a positive note came from 165-pounder
Reed Douglass who managed a 15-5 major decision over App's Joe Zovistoski.
- That was the first singular match that the Blue Hose have ever won in a dual against the Mountaineers, while also being Douglass' 20
th career victory.
- While the team has yet to win a SoCon match to this point, Douglass is perfect in league encounters this year. The New York native earned a 14-6 MD against Campbell back in November and also squeezed out a 6-4 decision in his bout with Davidson.
