CHARLESTON, S.C. – The final four meetings of the 2025-26 season are split in two for the Presbyterian College men's wrestling team in terms of location, hitting the road on Thursday and Sunday to face The Citadel and Chattanooga respectively.
PC is halfway through the Southern Conference slate, still in search of their first victory this winter (0-10 overall). The action starts at 6:00 tomorrow against The Citadel, while Sunday's encounter begins at 2:00.
ESPN+ will have live coverage of both duals, as the Blue Hose look to steer the ship in the right direction versus two clubs with nine combined wins.

SCOUTING THE CITADEL
- The Scotsmen hope to silence a seven-match losing skid to the Bulldogs in tomorrow evening's event, catching The Citadel on the heels of a 31-9 setback to Rider last weekend.
- Under the direction of Luke Welch, who was named the program's interim head coach back in September, The Citadel started off their SoCon schedule with a one-sided victory over Campbell in North Carolina.
- The Bulldogs achieved a rare feat on that day, obtaining a 17-point win despite zero pins or technical falls recorded. Each result was secured by either standard decision or major decision.
- Perhaps the most notable win outside of conference play for The Citadel was over Buffalo (32-6). They've gone toe-to-toe with a couple of Big Ten institutions – Michigan State and Maryland – as well as NC State who currently ranks #8 in America.
SCOUTING CHATTANOOGA
- A regular contender for Southern Conference championships, Chattanooga and eighth-year head coach Kyle Ruschell's unit has multiple similarities to The Citadel: they've wrestled a tough non-con schedule and they are currently 1-0 in league territory.
- Battling Ohio State and Iowa just over a month apart (two teams that have remained inside the national top five all season), UTC grabbed their first win this year over a Division I opponent five days ago when beating Gardner-Webb.
- The Mocs cruised past the Runnin' Bulldogs by a 30-10 count, utilizing a 17-1 tech by 125-pounder Cooper Flynn (the 17
th-ranked wrestler in NCAA) along with a 38-second fall by Kamdyn Munro in class 174.
- Before meeting PC, Chattanooga will first take on Davidson this Friday. Astoundingly, the Mocs have never lost to the Wildcats in 34 attempts, while also maintaining a perfect record versus Presbyterian (5-0).
LAST TIME OUT
- Although 184-pounder
Reed Douglass improved to 4-0 in Southern Conference matches with a 7-2 standard decision, the Blue Hose were bested by Bellarmine 50-3 on Sunday.
- Douglass was also victorious against Sacred Heart earlier that morning in Louisville with a 19-4 technical, although PC was unsuccessful there too in a 37-8 final margin.
- Head coach
Mark Cody has leaned on the success of Douglass and
Ryan Luna (141) this winter, combining for 23 wins since November and 58 wins in their individual careers.
- Luna,
Joseph Morris, and heavyweight
Morvens Saint Jean have each accomplished two pins this season, while
Joshua Roe is responsible for another.
