Look Back at Blue Hose Men’s Soccer 2025 Season…

ON AND OFF THE PITCH
  • For the third straight season under the direction of head coach Nick Finotti, the Blue Hose increased their win total. This season, Presbyterian won seven games. Presbyterian played five games against teams that were ranked in the final Top 50 in the RPI rankings (Furman #14 (College Cup Participant),  High Point #15, Georgia Southern #34, and Gardner-Webb #37 (twice).
  • After advancing to the Big South Tournament semifinals, the Blue Hose are one of three teams to make consecutive appearances in the Big South Tournament semifinals.
  • Presbyterian went 3-3-1 in the Big South to finish tied for third place, which is tied for the highest Big South Conference finish in school history. Presbyterian was the third seed in the Tournament.
  • For the first time in the Presbyterian's Division I era and for the first time since 2000, the Blue Hose did not lose consecutive games.
  • For the third straight season under Coach Finotti, Presbyterian had a player garner First Team All-Big South honors after midfielder Steven Cordova was a First Team All-League selection.
  • Four Presbyterian players earned All-Big South honors: Steven Cordova (First Team), goalkeeper Tim Baerwalde (Second Team), midfielder/forward Iragi Kalala (Honorable Mention), and defender Rivers Krask (All-Academic).
  • Big South Weekly accolades – Baerwalde (October 20) was the Big South Defensive Player of the Week, Aloni Elfu (September 8) was the Big South Freshman of the Week, and Thomas Stofring (October 27) was the Big South Freshman of the Week.
  • After helping lead the Blue Hose to the Big South Tournament semifinals, Cordova and Jonas Sundli-Hardig were named to the Big South All-Tournament team.
  • A program record four players earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Baerwalde, Sundli-Hardig, Gabe Carvalho, and Max Falconer were recognized for their efforts in the classroom.
  • Presbyterian captured the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 12th time in school history. As a team, Presbyterian finished the Fall semester with a 3.45 team GPA, with 29 players earning a 3.0 or higher GPA, and six players earned perfect 4.0s.
  • Sundli-Hardig set the program's D1 era career record for assists with 11. Cordova finished his career tied for second place on Presbyterian's D1 era career assists list with 10. Kalala moved into a tie for the fifth most points in the school's D1 era with 23 points (9 goals, 5 assists).
