CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team made their first appearance in a one-on-one dual since the calendar turned to 2026, entertaining the Appalachian State Mountaineers on Thursday night in Southern Conference play.

Against a club that has captured the last three league tournament titles, PC was upended by their North Carolina visitors in a 46-4 final deficit.

184-pounder Reed Douglass was the lone bright spot for the Blue Hose as he secured his 20^th career victory against Joe Zovistoski via 15-5 major decision.

Unfortunately for the blue and garnet, App State would start the dual off with 35 unanswered points (included among that flurry were two pins and two technical falls).

Presbyterian now sits at 0-6 on the season – 0-3 against SoCon opponents – and will look to steer the ship in the right direction next Friday when traveling to Davidson, NC.

At a neutral venue, head coach Mark Cody's club will face Brown and Lock Haven back-to-back. Those will serve as the final two non-conference duals of the winter.
