BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team did not receive a warm welcome back to the mat on Sunday afternoon following a near-three-week weather-related absence, getting shut out against Chattanooga at a neutral site (52-0).
Now 0-6 versus Southern Conference schools and 0-12 altogether, the Blue Hose will look to regroup later this week in their return to Templeton Gymnasium. They'll wrestle Gardner-Webb on Thursday, beginning at 7:00.
UTC utilized four pins and three technical falls to run away with Sunday's result, improving to 6-0 all-time against the Blue Hose. The match was originally scheduled for January 25 in Tennessee, but was moved to Campbell University after an untimely snowstorm.
