HOW IT HAPPENED

- After coming up short in a 1-0 decision against the number two seed (and hosting party) USC Upstate earlier in the day, Radford started fast with a three-run homer in the first frame.

- The Highlanders added a two-score single later that inning, boosting the deficit even further with a solo shot in the 2nd from Big South Pitcher of the Year Dakota Redmon.

- Radford was able to acquire the mercy rule with a grand slam (also by Redmon). Nearly half of the Highlanders' seven hits on Thursday cleared the fence.

- Senior Peyton Duncan started her 71st collegiate game in the circle, relieved by Avery Robinson and Kaylee Huckaby. Duncan wraps up a fantastic career ranking fourth in Presbyterian history for both strikeouts (314) and overall wins (33).

- The Blue Hose left the bases loaded in the opening stanza, and they would strand pinch-hitter Molly Mattas at second after a lead-off double in the 7th.

- Thursday was the final appearance for Duncan, Mattas, Morgan Farthing, Maddi Wood, Gracie DeCuir, and Blair Darby. Those six were able to get PC back in the Big South Tournament for the first time since 2022.
