SPARTANBURG, S.C. – An affiliate member of the Southern Conference, the Presbyterian College men's wrestling program qualified 21 athletes to the SoCon Honor Roll on Wednesday afternoon. Four of those individuals met the strict requirements for Academic All-Conference as well.

PC has collected an impressive 41 total academic honorees in the last two seasons. Their 21 SoCon Honor Roll selections are a new school record, beating out the previous best of 20 just 12 months ago.

The Blue Hose have been recognized with 11 academic all-conference picks over the last two years.

Recently-graduated senior Ryan Luna and incoming senior Joshua Roe were each named to the All-SoCon academic roster for the second consecutive year. This is the first academic all-conference accolade for Fernando Dominguez and Reed Douglass.

In order to make the cut for Academic All-Conference, one must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 and cannot be either a true freshman or first-year transfer. Additionally, each student-athlete had to have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's in-season events.

Those who made the SoCon Honor Roll do not have any restrictions on class or playing time, needing only a 3.0 minimum GPA from the prior school year.
