NORMAN, Okla. – Presbyterian College men's golfers Spence Hagood and Jeep Patrick were named Cobalt Golf All-American Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Hagood, who was an All-America Scholar last season, is the fourth player in the program's history to earn multiple All-America Scholar accolades. Patrick is the ninth Blue Hose golfer named All-America Scholar in the program's history.

Hagood and Patrick played integral roles in helping the Blue Hose capture the program's first Big South Championship and advance to the NCAA Regionals.  

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2. In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds and have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I.

SPENCE HAGOOD
Hagood recorded the match-clinching victories in the Big South Championship semifinals win over High Point and in the finals win over USC Upstate. Last season, he competed in all 11 tournaments, while averaging 73.9 strokes per round. He finished 10th in the Big South Championship stroke play.

The Greenwood, South Carolina native has a 3.52 GPA, majoring in Business Administration.  Last season, he was named to the Big South All-Academic and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams.

JEEP PATRICK
Patrick was named Big South Golfer of the Year and First Team All-Big South. After finishing tied for second place at the Big South Championship stroke play, he earned a spot on the Big South All-Championship team. Patrick went 2-0 in the Big South Championship match play. He was named Big South Golfer of the Week three times, while averaging 71.4 strokes per round. Last November, Patrick won the Fripp Island Intercollegiate individual title with a three-round score of 207 (-6).

The Hilton Head, South Carolina native has a 3.35 GPA, majoring in History.
