GREENVILLE, SC  – Senior Garrison Fisher, who set Presbyterian's 6K record, and sophomore Katie Stevenson paced the Blue Hose men's and women's cross country teams at the season-opening meet, the Bruins XC Night Classic at Bob Jones University.  

The men's team finished 3rd out of 12 teams. Garrison Fisher finished in second place with a school-record time of 19:32.1 to pace the Blue Hose in the 6K. Jude Rutherford posted a top 25 finish with a time of 20:51.5, which is the eighth-fastest 6K time in the program's history. Rounding out the Blue Hose men's runners were Henry Hunt (20:59.5), who ran the tenth-fastest 6K time in school history, Sam Gearheart (21:04.5), Noah Kaufman (21:37.8), Jacob Smith (21:38.6), David Harner (21:53.7), Trenten Cash (21:55.2), Luke Hogsdon (22:24.0), and Gage Walker (24:16.1).

Katie Stevenson paced the women's team with a time of 16:15.3 to finish in 16th place. Stevenson's time is the third-fastest 4K in school history. In her collegiate debut, Peyton Dooloukas posted a time of 16:39.6. Lillian Anderson (16:54.1), Annika Lackstrom (17:38.5), and Alyssa Reynolds (25:54.9) rounded out the rest of the Blue Hose women's runners.  The women's team finished in eighth place.
