Zach Sinkuler enters his second year as assistant coach of the Blue Hose.
In 2013, the new assistant helped the team to its first-ever win over a ranked Division I opponent with a 2-1 win over No. 24 UNC Wilmington early in the season. The coach also worked with a young group of Blue Hose over the season as PC used a heavy mix of freshmen and veterans during the campaign.
Sinkuler played for the Blue Hose from 2006 to 2009 before graduating in the spring of 2010 with a degree in history. Sinkuler started 63 matches in his PC career, serving as the captain in his senior season while earning the team’s Offensive Most Valuable Player and Coach’s Awards. In his freshman season, Sinkuler received Defensive MVP honors.
The Blue Hose assistant also scored a goal against Coastal Carolina in his junior season before tallying two in one game against NC State as a senior and another against Butler.
Sinkuler worked as a counselor at the Darlington Soccer Academy Camp from 2006 to 2008 and also volunteers at the Frazee Dream Center, a center for underprivileged children in the Greenville area.
A native of Roswell, Ga., Sinkuler is married to the former Regan Hayes, who played soccer and ran cross country for Presbyterian College as well.
