Anne Marie Covar recently finished her fifth season as head coach of the Presbyterian College women’s golf team in 2023-24. She originally joined the Blue Hose in August of 2019, becoming the third head coach in program history.

In 2023-24, Presbyterian finished in the top 10 team finishes in seven different tournaments highlighted by placing second at the Bright's Creek Intercollegiate. The team also had three players who placed top 10 in the individual leaderboards including Sarah Boteler (three times), Maddie Peake (twice), and Emma Louise Hunt (twice). The team put up a season-low round of 299 during the second round of the Elon Invitational to open the 2023-24 slate.

During the 2022-23 season, the Blue Hose as a team tallied six top 10 team finishes highlighted by the first team tournament title since the 2008-09 season at the Bright’s Creek Intercollegiate. Presbyterian also posted a top five finish finishing in a tie for fourth at the Low Country Intercollegiate. The Blue Hose garnered their most Big South Freshman of the Week honors with three during the 2022-23 season as Mariana Polakova earned two with Alina Shchepteva earning one. Polakova received Freshman Team honors from the league as well. The Blue Hose had four team rounds under 300 including a season-best 297 at the Elon Invitational. The team improved its scoring average by 12 shots compared to the 2022 spring season. PC had three players record under-par rounds throughout the 2022-23 season highlighted by four from Sarah Boteler.

The Blue Hose were led in the 2021-22 season by freshman Sarah Boteler who was named to the league's all-freshman team with her posting three top 25 finishes throughout the 2021-22 campaign. She earned freshman of the week honors following her 21st place finish at the Terrier Intercollegiate.

Due to COVID-19, the Blue Hose were limited to five tournaments, all in the spring, during the 2020-21 season. Serina Combs led the team in stroke average for the season, was selected to the Big South All-Academic Team for the second straight year and was named a WGCA All-American Scholar for the fourth consecutive year. Combs concluded her PC career with a 78.64 stroke average, the fourth-lowest in the program's DI era. Sanders Hinds and Rylie Marchman were also named WGCA All-American Scholars.

Despite a shortened season in 2019-20, Julie Hillestad compiled four top-10 finishes, while Combs recorded one. Both golfers lowered their 54-hole bests and carded rounds at-or-below par during the year. Combs concluded the season with a spot on the Big South's All-Academic Team and was named a WGCA All-American Scholar for the third straight year. The Blue Hose also earned the NCAA Public Recognition Award for High Academic Achievement.

Covar came to Presbyterian after three seasons with the Erskine College women’s golf team. She joined Erskine in 2016 as an assistant coach, and was elevated to head coach prior to the 2018 season. During her tenure, the Fleet set and re-set school records for 18, 36 and 54 holes. In her second season, she helped coach Annia Werge to the individual 18-hole school records, as well as the team to the 2018 Coker Cobra Spring Women’s Invitational title.

In her final season, Anna Parramore broke the individual 54-hole program record with a runner-up finish at the Conference Carolinas Championship. Erskine then went on to win the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) South Regional and finish runners-up at the NCCAA Nationals, where the team again set a 54-hole school record.

Covar had a successful collegiate career at Wofford (2010-14) where she logged a pair of individual wins and set the 54-hole record for the Terriers. She was named the SoCon Freshman of the Year in 2011 and earned a spot on the SoCon All-Freshman Team.

After graduating from Wofford with a degree in accounting in 2014, Covar began teaching golf lessons. She also played professionally from 2015-17, was a member of the Suncoast Tour from 2015-16, and competed in LPGA Qualifying School. She is Level 1 Certified from the Titleist Performance Institute.
