Sidney Flores joins the Presbyterian Men's Wrestling Coaching Staff from West Covina, California.
During his high school campaign, Sidney finished as a California state runner-up and multiple-time High School All-American. Following his High School career, Sidney was a three-year starter as the United States Air Force Academy where he competed at the 125-lb. and 133-lb. weight classes. (Unable to compete as a junior due to injury). He finished his senior year run with a 4th place finish at the Big XII Tournament and qualifying for the Division I NCAA National Tournament with a top-16 finish. Sidney also brings a wealth of freestyle and Greco knowledge from competing at the senior level and representing the Air Force Regional Training Center. Sidney was a UWW Junior Freestyle All-American, beating several D-I All-Americans/runners-up en route to a 3rd-place finish. Sidney also recently competed at the 2024 US Olympic Team Trials at 60kg in Greco Roman.
Following his collegiate career, Sidney coached at Orange County Regional Training Center and Fountain Valley High School (Huntington Beach, Calif.), where he aided Fountain Valley to two top-10 finishes at the state tournament, producing multiple state place winners, a state champion, and multiple Division I wrestlers.
Beyond his wrestling career, Sidney earned his degree of Bachelor of Science with a focus in Business Management from the Air Force Academy, and he is currently in pursuit of his Masters degree in Corporate Business Administration at Clemson University. He has dedicated his career to serving in the United States Space Force as a Space Acquisition's officer and is currently an officer as a 1st Lieutenant.
Sidney is continuously supported by his parents (Michelle and Sidney Flores), grandparents (Gladys, Juan, Laura, and David) and is inspired by his eight older siblings and eleven nieces and nephews.
