Mitch Hall is in his seventh year back in 2020 and ninth year overall as assistant coach in charge of running backs. Hall also served on PC’s staff in 2005 and 2006.
During the 2019 season, Hall oversaw Jarius Jeter finishing fifth in the conference with 62.8 yards per game on the ground and fifth in the league with 753 rushing yards overall. Jeter recorded three 100-yard games with Zola Davis adding a 100-yard performance as well. As a team, the Blue Hose rushing attack had 131.2 yards per game. During the 2019 season, Jeter eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark for his career.
In 2018 saw a pair of running backs share the load and run for 400+ yards apiece with Zola Davis adding a pair of touchdowns to his stat line. As a group the Blue Hose rushing attack averaged 117 yards per game.
In 2017, Hall oversaw another 1,000-yard Blue Hose rusher as Torrance Marable became the second PC player in the Division One era to rush for at least 1,000 yards.
In 2015, Hall oversaw the running back group that featured Darrell Bridges, who rushed for 1,065 yards to become the first PC player in the program's Division I era to rush for at least 1,000 yards. Bridges was named first team All-Big South for his performance, also leading the team in touchdowns that season with eight.
In 2014, Hall helped PC to a 6-5 record, the program’s first winning season since 2007 and its first-ever in the Big South. The offense guided the Blue Hose to ranked wins over No. 12 Furman and No. 22 Charleston Southern and the team's two road wins stand as the most since three in 2007.
Against FCS competition, PC finished with a 5-2 record and its only two losses came to FCS playoff teams Coastal Carolina and Liberty. Running back Darrell Bridges earned Big South Freshman of the Week honors under Hall as well in the season finale.
Hall was most recently at Newberry College where he spent four seasons coaching the defensive line for the Wolves.
At Newberry he coached one All-American and three South Atlantic Conference selections on the defensive line.
Hall previously served as the defensive coordinator at North Greenville University. In 2007 he coached the Crusaders’ defensive line and was promoted to defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach in 2008.
For the 2005 and 2006 seasons, Hall coached running backs and tight ends with the Blue Hose. Pc was the 2005 South Atlantic Conference champions and ranked first in the conference in scoring average.
A 2003 graduate of Western Carolina University, Hall served as a graduate assistant for the Catamounts in 2003 and 2004. He was a four-year letterman at linebacker and special teams playing for the Catamounts from 1998 to 2002.
He and his wife, Carrie, have a son, Miller, and a daughter, Morgan.
