PC Plays Clemson

CLINTON, S.C. - In the second game played on the new gym floor here the Presbyterian Blue Stockings went down in 29 to 17 defeat before "Doc" Stewart's smooth running Clemson Tiger machine. The game was fast and aggressive playing marked the contest throughout.

The Tigers held the lead all through the game, but at times the Blue Stockings came dangerously close to the Tigers' score. Clemson drew first blood by dropping the globule through on a free throw. P.C. did not score until after Clemson scored six points, when Edmunds shot a field goal. The half ended with the Tigers in the lead by the score of 16 to 17.

The features of the game were the excellent passing of Clemson and the scoring of Day together with the excellent playing of Bryan.

The local team showed up good in teamwork but inability to hold the ball spelled defeat.

Day for Clemson, supported by Bryan, were the outstanding players for the visitors. Day dropping the ball through for 21 of the 29 points.

Edmunds for the locals showed up as a good player by his speed and teamwork.
