Furman Smothers P.C. Quintet by 59 - 11

Greenville, S.C. Feb. 10 (AP) - Furman's indoor Purple Hurricane took another big leap toward the state championship in basketball tonight when the aggressive Presbyterian College quintet was stilled by the terrific wind 59 to 11. Although Presbyterian College was one of Furman's most dreaded foes, the victory was larger than in any other cage encounter this season.
