Spartanburg, S.C. Jan. 24 (AP) - The lineup read like a football game, and a football game it became as Wofford and Presbyterian College roughed and tumbled it here on the court tonight. Wofford won, 27 to 20.
Captain Perrin Dargan, of Terrier gridiron fame, led the attack and the scarlet clad men of Wofford proved to be mightier than the Blue Stockings in the art of chasing the ball and guarding. The ball was close on the floor nearly all the last half, with both teams chasing the vagrant so eagerly that they ran Referee Red Dobsen, of Furman football fame, until he was panting.
Wofford took an early lead of two points and held it until the last half when the Blue stockings threatened to tie it up with a flurry of shooting.
