Methodist Five Falls In Rough And Slow Fight

Blue Stockings Grab Early Lead And Hold It All Way

Wofford Shoots Badly

Fast Passing And Neat Floor Work Feature Battle

Clinton, Feb. 13 - Securing sweet revenge for a trouncing handed them earlier in the season, The Blue Stockings of Presbyterian College tonight turned back the invading Terriers of Wofford, 47 to 27.

The Presbyterians grabbed an early lead and held it all the way. The game was exceedingly slow and exceptionally rough, the "football game" between the two teams in Spartanburg on January 25 being duplicated on the local floor.

The tip-offs were about equal, but Wofford fumbled the ball a great deal and the butter finger passing cut down the Terrier scoring. Bad shooting on the part of the Methodists kept them behind, their shots being inaccurate and hastily flung a greater part of the time.

The first half ended 22 to 11 in favor of the Blue Stockings, and during the last half the scoring zigzagged back and forth. Fast passing and floor work featured this final period.

W. Adair, Roberts, Caldwell, and Adair headed the Blue Stocking parade, while the work of Dargan, Jeffries and Johnson loomed up best for Wofford.
