1930 Season
Jan. 7 – (AP) South Carolina's basketball team piled up an easy score here tonight to overwhelm Presbyterian College, 44 to 19.  Both teams were erratic, and although there were brilliant spots, many seemingly easy goals were missed.

Jan. 11 – The Terriers unraveled the Blue Stockings on the court of the new Andrews Memorial Field House last night and Wofford shaded PC 20 to 14 in a rather slow and ragged basketball game.  The shooting of both teams were erratic and the passing inaccurate.

Adair, slender blonde forward, led Coach Walter Johnson's team in points with nine, while Hix headed the Terriers with seven. …

Seceders Romp on Blue Hose
Jan. 16 – (AP) Erskine's Flying Fleet warmed up in the second period of a game with Presbyterian College here tonight to run rough shod over the Blue Hose and chalk up a final score of 41 to 19.  The Presbyterian team had led at the end of the half, 13 to 11. …

Clemson Tigers Beat Stockings
Jan. 17 – (AP) With four new faces in the starting lineup, Josh Cody's cagemen defeated Presbyterian College here tonight by the score of 37 to 12.

The game was featured by the close guarding of the Clemson five, PC not being able to score until the home five had rolled up 18 points.

Gibbons was the high scorer of the evening with 11 points to his credit.

Presbyterian was forced to make long shots at the basket and very few of these were successful.  While the visitors put up a spirited fight, they did not threaten the home team at any time.

Furman Beats Stockings 56-27
Jan. 18 – (AP) Furman's fast quintet swamped the Presbyterian Blue Stockings, 56 to 27, in a basketball game featured by the accurate shooting of the entire Furman team here tonight.  Presbyterian was forced to try long shots and few found the baskets.

Jan. 31 – College of Charleston 40 – PC 33

Jan. 31 – (AP) Tideman and Willard, with many spectacular shots, led the Citadel basketball team to a 53-41 victory over Presbyterian College here tonight.

The Cadets were off to a 12-2 lead at the start, were ahead 27-13 at half time and staved off a last-half PC rally to come out on top.

Adair with 14 points topped the PC scorers.

Citadel Downs Blue Stockings
Feb. 1 – (AP) Shoved astern in the first half, the Citadel Bulldogs … in the closing stages of the game with Presbyterian College tonight and won 38 to 30 …

Feb. 13 – (AP) The Erskine Flying Fleet continued its triumphal match toward a championship in the SIAA by defeating the Blue Stockings here tonight, 47 to 37.  The Presbyterian team played its best game of the season and kept the Seceders in a continual struggle.

The first half of the game was a slow and ragged affair.

Through the entire last period it was a nip and tuck battle.

Blue Stockings Surprise Foes
Feb. 18 – (AP) In one of the best played games ever seen here, Presbyterian College upset the dope to win over the quintet of the College of Charleston tonight by a score of 59 to 50.  It was the second PC victory of the season.

For the first time this year Coach Johnson used only one team through the entire fray.  The Blue Stockings grabbed an early lead which was never overcome by the Maroon team.  Practically through the entire game the Hosemen kept a ten point margin.

Feb. 22 – (AP) Taking an early lead and clinging tenaciously to it, the Blue Stockings of Presbyterian College tonight downed the Wofford Terriers, 43 to 31, in one of the best games seen here this season.  It made the PC-Wofford season a 50-50 break, giving both wins on the home courts.
Wofford's defense could not stop Roberts and Adair, Blue Stocking forwards.  Hix and King, Wofford's forwards, gave PC guards trouble also.

Feb. 26 (AP) – The 1930 basketball season was closed here tonight with the Presbyterian Blue Stockings defeating the Newberry Indians by a score of 42 to 35.  The game was a fierce battle throughout, both teams seesawing for the lead.  The score at the half was 23 to 20 in PC's favor.
