PC Wins State Game
CLINTON, S.C. - Jan. 12 (AP) Presbyterian College's basketball team opened its 1944 season tonight with a 60-33 victory over Clemson.
The Blue Hose, paced by forward Parrish, jumped into an early lead and held a 23-15 advantage at the end of the first half.
Parrish rolled up 30 points, far and away the scoring honors for the night. Riddle, Clemson guard, led his team with 11 points.

Newberry Five Roars Through PC, 66 to 42
CLINTON, S.C. - Jan. 18 (AP) Newberry college's Navy V-12 studded basketball team defeated Presbyterian 66-42 here tonight before some 800 spectators. The visitors forged into an early lead and although the home team fought valiantly, the issue was never really in doubt.
Schimmel, a shifty guard, led Newberry's attack with 23 points, the high for the evening. Parrish, with 19, paced the Hose.

CLINTON, S.C. - Jan. 22 (AP) Presbyterian College's cagers, paced by Parrish, who collected 27 points, trounced the Olivier General hospital team, from Augusta, Ga., tonight, 48-40.

Indians Smother Blue Hose 73-22
Newberry, S.C. - Jan. 26 (AP) - The Newberry College V-12 Indians overwhelmed the Presbyterian College basketball team tonight 73 to 22.
The game was off to a slow start with Newberry pulling out in front for a one point lead, 7 to 6, after 10 minutes of play. However, the Indians put a powerful offensive in motion and led 28 to 13 at the half. Presbyterian's Blue Stockings were outclassed in the final half.

CLINTON, S.C. - Jan. 29 (AP) Mercer University's cagers won a 59-51 victory from Presbyterian College here last night in a nip and tuck game that saw the lead change frequently. PC led 27-21 at the half.

GAB BOMBERS TOP BLUE HOSE, 62-47
Clinton, SC (Feb. 10) AP - Greenville Army Air Base hung a 62-47 walloping on Presbyterian College's basketball team tonight.
It was a nip and tuck affair in the first half but in the closing period the bigger, stronger, healthier and wiser soldiers (to employ the PC press agent's conclusion) really did the thing up brown.
The defeat ended Presbyterian's home season.
