Blue Hose Knock Belmont Abbey From Unbeatens

Clinton, S.C. (AP) - Presbyterian knocked Belmont Abbey College from the undefeated ranks here Thursday night, toppling the North Carolinians 56-53. The Abbey entered the game with a record of 18 straight wins.

But Presbyterian slapped a tight man-to-man defense on the tall visitors and relied mainly on outside shots and charity tosses for their scoring.
