Belmont, N.C. (AP) - Undefeated Belmont Abbey rang up its 15th basketball victory against college competition Thursday night coasting to an 81-69 win over Presbyterian.
The Crusaders controlled the backboards, grabbing 57 rebounds to 36 for the Blue Hose. Belmont Abbey led by as much as 24 points in the second half before the reserves took over. PC's record now is 6-7.
High scorers for Belmont Abbey were Jim Mullen, 20 points, and Danny Doyal and John Von Bargen, 18 each. PC's top men were Bob Caswell, 19 points, and Ralph Chambers and Bob Stratton with 12 each.
