BLUE HOSE ROLL PAST YELLOW JACKETS 91-48

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Presbyterian College's Sean Dixon (Marietta, Ga.) led four players in double figures with a game-high 16 points en route to a 91-48 rout of Allen University in men's basketball action John Hurst Gymnasium.

Dixon hit four-of-six field goal attempts and added three assists on the night, while former Keenan High School product, freshman Travis Sligh (Columbia, S.C.) added a season-high 12 points off the bench for the Blue Hose. Senior Tray Ballenger (Wellford, S.C.) and freshman Bryan Bostic (Norcross, Ga.) added 11 points apiece. Allen was led on the night by Michael Gamble's team-high 15 points and five boards.

The Blue Hose opened the game by pulling ahead 19-6 on a three-pointer by Bostic at the 10:03 mark. Allen cut the lead to 12 points at 26-14 on a three-pointer by Gamble with 3:10 left in the half. PC closed the first half on an 18-5 run to enter halftime with a 34-19 lead. PC shot 42.3% from the floor in the first half and held the Yellow Jackets to only 25.0% shooting from the field. Dixon led the way with 10 first half points, while Dominic Hunter countered with eight points for Allen.

In the second half, the Blue Hose lead increased to 23 points at 50-27 with 13:50 to play on a pair of free throws by Sligh. The lead would increase to its largest margin of the night at 89-44 with 1:40 left to play on a layup by junior Matt Parker (Concord, N.C.).

The Blue Hose dominated the game with a 46-10 advantage in the paint and outscored the Yellow Jackets 58-13 off the bench. Presbyterian improves to 16-6 on the season, while Allen falls to 1-18 overall. Presbyterian College returns to league action on Saturday, February 4 with a trip to Mars Hill, N.C. to take on Mars Hill College for a 4:00 pm tip-off.
