Tucker Acquires Goal In UNF Loss

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. ? Presbyterian College fell just short in its attempt to claim two wins in the Sunshine State over the weekend, falling 2-1 to North Florida in men's soccer action on Sunday afternoon.

 

PC's Brandon Tucker (Englewood, Colo.) acquired PC the very early lead in the game in the fifth minute when he placed the soccer ball into the right corner of the net off an assist from Bennett Cope (Mobile, Ala.) to give PC a 1-0 advantage.


The Ospreys would not let the lead last long as Ryan Brennan put the ball in off a rebound at the
8:20 mark to square the game at 1-1.

 

North Florida's Shareef Rajkumar then scored the eventual game winner at the 23:03 mark.

 

In total, North Florida had four more shots than PC at 17-13, while the Blue Hose concluded the game with one more corner kick than UNF at 6-5.

 

The Blue Hose next travel to the Commonwealth of Virginia for two games against Big South foes Liberty and VMI. PC will play the Flames at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26 and then close out their time in the state of Virginia by taking on VMI at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28.
