Jones Scores Game-High 16 Points

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Senior guard Amy Jones scored a game-high 16 points and backcourt teammate Katlin Moore added 10 points, but it was not enough in Presbyterian College's 88-41 loss to future Big South Conference rival Liberty at the Vines Center.

With the loss, PC dropped to 1-21 overall on the season, while the Lady Flames improved to 17-2 on the year.

Jones (Warthen, Ga.) was a perfect 6-of-6 on the day from the charity stripe and 4-for-10 from the field in the loss. She sank two 3-pointers in the second half and dished out four assists.

Moore (Fort Mill, S.C.) grabbed three rebounds in addition to her 10 points.

Teammates Taylor Price (Fort Bragg, N.C.) and Lea Smith (Marion, N.C.) led PC in the game on the boards with four rebounds each.
 
Liberty had four players finish in double figures. The triplet tandem of the Frazee's led the way for the Lady Flames in the victory.

 

Moriah Frazee had a team-high 15 points, while Megan Frazee added 13 points. Molly Frazee and Rebecca Lightfoot each scored 12 points. Lightfoot led the Lady Flames with six boards, including four on the offensive glass.

Overall, PC shot 29.4 percent in the game (15-of-51), while Liberty hit 58.6 percent (34-for-58) of their shots, including 22 of their 31 (71%) attempts in the second half.
 
PC will next remain on the road for its fourth straight game. The Lady Blue Hose will take on Elon University at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
