DAVIDSON, N.C. ? Presbyterian College fell 4-1 to Davidson before a crowd of 717 at Alumni Soccer Stadium on Friday evening.
All five goals in the match came in the first half with Davidson scoring the first goal of the contest in the third minute on an Alex Caskey penalty kick.
Yannick Pilgrim scored the game-winning goal and earned the Wildcats a 2-0 advantage just over eight minutes later when he scored on a breakaway down the left side. Josh Zipin tallied Davidson a 3-0 lead 10 minutes later before PC registered its first goal of the game.
Chris Bropy (Glasgow, Scotland/Cumbernauld) scored the goal for PC in the 23rd-minute when he deftly hit a free kick from just outside of the box. The goal was the first regular season goal of Brophy's career.
Davidson's Charlie Reiter scored the final goal of the game and of the first half at the 41:15 mark.
PC (11) took five less shots in the game than Davidson (16). The Wildcats had five corner kicks in the contest, while PC took just one.
