Two Blue Hose Receive Big South Awards

CONWAY, S.C. ? The Presbyterian College men's soccer program had two players receive awards from the Big South Conference on Wednesday evening at the men's soccer awards banquet at Christ Community Church. PC freshman midfielder Michael Czulinski was named to the Big South All-Freshman team, while Blue Hose forward Sam Eastridge was chosen to the Big South All-Academic team.

Czulinski (Columbia, S.C./Spring Valley) led the Blue Hose offensive charge in 2008, tallying a team-best nine points. Czulinski finished with four goals and one assist in his first year with the program.

Czulinski acquired one game-winning goal in 2008. His game-winner came in PC's first win of the year against Lehigh at the 2008 adidas Gamecock Classic at Stone Stadium in Columbia, S.C. His efforts at the event led to him being named to the Gamecock Classic All-Tournament team.

A sophomore in the classroom, Eastridge (Kingsport, Tenn./Dobyns-Bennett) was in his first year with the Blue Hose men's soccer program in 2008. Eastridge concluded his first season with the PC's men's soccer program with three goals. He scored the final goal of the year for the Blue Hose in PC's 2-2 season-ending tie with conference opponent VMI.

Eastridge made nine starts for the Blue Hose in 2008, playing in 18 matches overall. A Mathematics major, Eastridge currently owns a 3.76 GPA.
