SPARTANBURG, S.C. ? Presbyterian College dropped a 6-1 decision to Southern Conference opponent Wofford on Wednesday afternoon.
The loss dropped the Blue Hose to 1-5 on the year, while Wofford improved to 4-4 on the year with the victory.
Freshman Henry Walker (Greenville, S.C.) continued his tremendous start to the 2008 spring season on Wednesday against Wofford, claiming PC's one point at No. 4 singles.
Walker downed Wofford's Christopher Williams by the score of 6-4, 6-1. The victory improved Walker to a team-best 4-2 in singles matches on the year.
The Blue Hose have one day off before returning to the courts on Friday in Statesboro, Ga. for a match against another SoCon foe in Georgia Southern. PC's match with the Eagles is slated to begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22.
The Blue Hose will stay in Statesboro on Saturday for a neutral site match against Florida Atlantic at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23.
