WINSTON SALEM, N.C. -
Presbyterian College women's basketball suffered another defeat at the hands a
power conference opponent on Sunday afternoon as Wake Forest downed PC,
66-25. The Blue Hose were led by ten
second half points from Mariah Pietrowski.
The Blue Hose fall to 0-7 on the season in defeat as Wake improves to
6-0.
Pietrowski was a perfect 3-3 from the field as she dropped
in ten points, all in the second half.
She added four from the charity stripe to lead PC in both
categories.
PC did lead in the game, taking a 1-0 advantage when Dria
David converted a free throw opportunity at the 18:48 mark in the first
half. She finished the game with three
points and a game high nine rebounds.
Lea Smith knocked in four points while Kristen Stevens
tallied PC's only Trey of the night to extend the Blue Hose's consecutive games
streak with a three-pointer to 75 games.
Wake Forest was led by Brittany Waters' 14 points as 11
different players scored points for the Demon Deacons.
PC will return to action on Wednesday night against
Charlotte. The Blue Hose will close out their
eight game season opening road string starting at 5:30 p.m.
