Blue Hose In 16th Place At The Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate

AIKEN, S.C. - The Presbyterian College men's golf team finished day one of The Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in 16th place. After two rounds on the par-70 course, the Blue Hose have an aggregate score of 599 (306, 293).

Senior Rob McRae (Augusta, Ga.) had an opening day score of 147 (74, 73) to tie for 36th with sophomore Matt Sizemore (Richmond, Va.) 147 (75, 72). Freshman William Sigg (Augusta, Ga.) tied for 51st with a two-round score of 149 (76, 73). Redshirt junior Evan Phillips (Lexington, S.C.) moved up to finish tied for 81st with a score of 156 (81, 75).  Sophomore Det Cullum (Columbia, S.C.) finished in 90th place at 172 (89, 83).

Alabama, currently ranked 3rd in the nation, shot a combined 565 (288, 277) on day one to take a four-stroke lead over Liberty (569; 285, 284) in the team standings. The Rolling Tide's Bud Cauley shot back-to-back rounds of four-under 66 to establish a six-stroke lead in the race for individual medalist honors.

PC will tee-off on the back nine starting at 9:00 a.m. and is paired up with Francis Marion and Kentucky.
