LYNCHBURG, VA. - The Presbyterian College women's basketball team fell on the road to Liberty on Monday night, 49-40. The game served as the season finale for both teams.

The Blue Hose only made four of 17 shots in the first half (23 percent) compared to Liberty's nine of 28 (32 percent). The League leading Flames went two of eight (25 percent) from behind the arc, while PC failed to even attempt a three-point shot in the first half. Liberty also had 10 points off 14 first half turnovers by PC.

Chelsea Parker (Asheville, N.C.) scored PC's first three-pointer of the night with 13:07 to go in the second half, bringing the score to 30-20 in favor of the Flames. Senior Amanda Mills (Oregon City, Ore.) later connected on three-straight attempts from distance over just a two-minute span. With 1:28 left, the lead was once again cut to 10 points, at 48-38.

Megan Schaaf (Ellicott City, Md.) connected on two free throws to end the scoring for PC while Dymond Morgan scored the game's final point with a free throw.

Mills ended the night with nine points while going 3-3 from distance. The baskets also secured Mills' place in the PC record books. She ends her collegiate career with 153 successful three-pointers, in only three seasons with the program, to rank third all-time.

Mariah Pietrowski (Elizabethton, Tenn.) had eight points on the night, while Shonda Burnside (Gray Court, S.C.) pulled down six rebounds to go with three points.

PC ended the night 4-9 (44 percent) from three, all in the second half, and 13-38 (34 percent) from the field. Liberty did not do much better, shooting 2-16 (12 percent) from three and 19-56 (33 percent) from the floor. Possibly the dagger for PC was giving up 22 points off 21 turnovers including 15 steals by the Flames.
